ROZET, the library hotspot

A place where people can discover, relax, meet, expand and develop. That’s how the Rozet can be summed up.

Besides the library, it is also the location of the Kunstbedrijf (the Art Company) the Kunstuitleen ToArt (ToArt Art leasing), the Volksuniversiteit Arnhem (Arnhem Community College) and the Erfgoedcentrum (Heritage Centre) a language school and some caterers. By bringing together these disciplines, the Rozet bustles with activities in the fields of knowledge, culture and education. The building attracts more than 1 million visitors a year.

ROZET Building

The Neutelings Riedijk architect bureau designed the building that is situated between the Oude and Nieuwe Oeverstraat in Arnhem. Their vision is that the building serves as an extension of the street. This is symbolised by the enormous staircase that passes through the centre of the building connecting the several cultural institutes. As well as the connective element of the staircase, it is also a meeting place. Specially created wide areas serve as seating or work places and there are various public areas bordering the staircase, suitable for readings or exhibitions. (dutch only)

Learn Dutch at ROZET Arnhem

Especially for expats the teachers of En nu Nederlands (located at ROZET) have developed short courses that make temporary life in this country a litlle easier. How do I ask what time it is, for example, or how do I order a beer or invite my neighbours to diner?

In this course you will mainly learn how to speak socially, but the course also pays direct attention to the culture and history of the Netherlands. Covering the daily news will help you to make a chat at receptions or parties. Excursions will also form part of this course.
